The Archaeological Museum of Astypalaia contains finds dating from prehistoric to medieval times, from various locations on the island, including the settlement of Chora, the Castle and more.

Τhe most significant exhibits were recovered from Kylindra, where the world’s sole ancient cemetery for infants was found, with about 3,000 urn burials.

Next to vases from Mycenaean tholos tombs, you will also see a hoard of silver coins from the Classical period, as well as the marble coat of arms of the Querini (governors of the island) from the Venetian castle of Astypalaia.
