On an island inextricably linked to the Greek Struggle of 1821, the Spetses Museum is housed in the impressive mansion that used to belong to local lord Hatzigiannis Mexis, erected in 1798.
It contains objects dating from prehistory to the Byzantine era, from 18th century Spetsiot sailors, as well as folklore exhibits. Historical relics related to the Revolution, such as the Revolution flag and Bouboulina’s ossuary, stand out.

Admission is free on March 6, April 18, May 18, the last weekend of September, on October 28, as well as on the first and third Sunday of each month between November 1 and March 31.
