At the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), the Hellenic Organization of Cultural Resources Development (ODAP) showcases a dynamic strategy that positions culture at the core of economic growth and innovation. The Organization’s presence reflects a new vision for cultural heritage management—one that blends respect for tradition with cutting-edge technology.
The centerpiece of ODAP’s presentation is the launch of hh.gr, a unified digital platform that, for the first time, brings together more than 300 cultural sites under the Ministry of Culture into one cohesive digital and service ecosystem: Hellenic Heritage. This initiative represents a comprehensive strategy of digital transformation, reshaping how citizens and visitors interact with Greek cultural heritage.
More than 100 of these sites are already part of a digital visitor experience program, one of the Government’s 25 flagship innovation projects. Features include a visitor management system, certified multilingual audio guides, and advanced accessibility tools for people with disabilities. Technologies like augmented and virtual reality transport visitors to historical environments such as Ancient Olympia, Sounio and Delos, offering immersive experiences that bridge past, present and future.
ODAP is creating a groundbreaking cultural hub at Pireos 260, combining Greece’s first Museum of Casts with state-of-the-art workshops for the production of exact copies of ancient artifacts. This new facility will showcase the Organization’s extensive collection, including 19th-century casts of Parthenon sculptures and models from iconic sites across Greece.
The production process involves advanced 3D scanning and printing techniques and is complemented by educational programs and hands-on cultural activities—turning the site into a thematic park where expertise meets cultural education.
Hellenic Heritage is the official brand under which the Ministry of Culture delivers certified services and products, ensuring safety, quality and authenticity in every cultural experience. Through this brand, ODAP promotes Greek aesthetic and cultural value on a global stage, setting new standards for cultural entrepreneurship.
As a public body supervised by the Ministry of Culture, ODAP implements an integrated strategy to maximize the social and economic value of cultural resources. The Organization plays a regulatory, developmental and innovative role in modern cultural management, linking heritage policy with innovation, education, and the creative economy.
Visitors to the ODAP exhibition booth can explore the new digital ecosystem through interactive demonstrations, attend live craft workshops by expert artisans from across Greece, and participate in themed dialogues at the Open Forum on craftsmanship and culture. The HH Café and Hellenic Heritage Shop complement the experience by offering moments of relaxation and carefully curated products inspired by timeless Greek creativity.
